THE DRESS

Yesterday, my sweet Susanna-mother and mother-in-law-to-be (MIL2B) Phoebe escorted me to David's Bridal. I tried on gowns for hours and with much pain in feet and mind I finally chose my wedding gown. This is suddenly much, much more real! No descriptions, I'm sorry, because Caleb insists on knowing nothing about it until he sees me August 15th at a little after 1pm.

I believe that we will skip on the $200 alterations offered by David's and take it to a wonderful local seamstress, Stitches by Sharon.

Just thought we were long due for an update here :) I look forward to showing you all my dress and gorgeous veil, both gifts from Mother Dearest. I love you Momma! Thank you!

"La Boheme"

Tonight Astri and I went to the Opera "La Boheme" with the honors program and loved it! We realized that we relate well with Rodolfo and Mimi! Only our story is not a tragedy!! It was an awesome experience!

Also we are still figuring out ideas on the timing of the actual ceremony and reception.

One more thing: does anyone have a good suggestion for another wedding registry?

Locations of the Wedding

I've added two maps to the bottom of the page. The actual wedding is at Rod and Gun park and the reception is at Irvine Park in Chippewa falls. THe second map is directions to Irvine Park from Rod and Gun. To get a good look at the map, click on the link under the picture labelled "View Larger Map"

Oh and don't worry, it isn't really a Rod and Gun Park, its actually called Rod and Gun Park to keep it a secret. The most beautiful park in Eau Claire.

Mixers

So in working through our registry list Astri and I have come upon an interesting dilemma. My mom has said that the Kitchen Aid Mixer is the best, so i added it to the list without realizing that its $300 dollars. Now the question is, is the kitchen aid mixer really worth the price? Or are there as good mixers out there for less?

Yeah, a really big issue ; )
